We are proud to support the growth and development of IT in Nigeria.  Over the years we have actively promoted IT in Nigeria by sponsoring or creating various IT initiatives.

Nigerian Computer Society Online

Our first project, created back in 2002, was a website portal for Nigerian IT professionals to come together and share ideas.  Our objective was simple – to make IT accessible to all Nigerians.  Still running today, the portal has grown in size with about 3000 registered members.

Nigeria website competition

In 2003, we ran the first website design competition to find the best Nigerian made website.  The competition was a great success with more than expected entries and votes.

English to Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, and Pidgin dictionary

In collaboration with members of the Nigerian Computer Society Online, we created a dictionary to translate the 4 major spoken languages in Nigeria to English.  The idea behind the project was to allow any one to edit and add to the dictionary, very similar to the current “Wikipedia” project.

Nigeria Internet Directory

We created a platform to collect and promote websites relating to Nigeria.  The directory since it was built has been a great success.  But like any human built directory, takes a lot of effort to maintain – trying to keep the directory clean and spammers in check.  This project has been moved to Click Nigeria - Directory

Nigeria Domain Name Registration

Nigeria believe it or not has a TLD (.NG) e.g. http://www.creotec.com.ng We have create a simple and advanced version of the current domain request form to allow users to easily request for domain names.

Nigeria Fraud

This is a one man campaign against the bad press Nigerians have been getting over the years about fraud and corruption. As a Nigerian, I find it is very hard that everyone, including some Nigerians, are quick to point a finger, name and shame, and blame Nigeria for credit card fraud, advance fees fraud (a.k.a. 419 scam) and anything to do with fraud in general. Let’s face it! - FRAUD IS A GLOBAL PROBLEM - not only a Nigerian problem.
